Boxes, my house is filled with boxes! Sady not the present kind with little bows, and tags reading to Dad from Santa…
I recall that I asked if anyone was doing anything musical (at all) during Lockdown? Apparantly not, going by the absence of replies. I did however have one brief inspiration myself.
I share a chat with several friends scattered over the globe. There’s sometimes one comment a day, other times a chain reaction of witty repartie will fire off across the globe.
Bad puns, inside jokes and sly digs, and wistful reminiscence, generally interspersed with bemoaning the latest phase of Covid restriction being experienced by whoever (the Aussies seem to have had a particularly bad time, located in central Melbourne).
After one particularly colourful series of exchanges (of which I was a small part), someone (who shall remain nameless) opinned that the preceding text might make a song.
Needless to say I was driven to rapidly make the attempt: So this week on dogs life our first vid. [All lyrics were lifted straight from the chat and won’t necessarilly make ANY sense if you weren’t there – then or twenty years ago]
I present “Lockdown” as small evidence that I am still (trying) to do something musical.
Next week
It’s nearly Christmas, so something festive?
