It’s a Dog’s Life Today Returns

I got my pickaxe/mattock (not the same thing). A dinky one handed one, suitable for the task, and immediately uncovered a (sewage?) pipe. Thus work is paused.

Carefully unraveling the lengthy strings of old garden lights, occupies a completely unreasonable amount of time, untill it occurs to me that – I’m not even going to attempt to fix them (been here before) so – I should just snip them off ,(big timesaver- D’oh!).

Massive creative energies are then expended to put the new lights in place, (photo will follow) and I have to retire to a glass of wine, and watch a gardening program about a couple who want completely differing things from their outside space….

As a novelty I write today from my phone (not recommended), while in the (not enough seats) waiting room of the hearing clinic where I must run my (tiny-pocket sized) mum. We are “only” 40 minutes early, (not wanting to be late), so we must wait behind the people waiting behind the people being seen. All politely ignoring one another, while carrying on private conversation. (My mum has been afforded a chair, I am standing, any conversation would have to be shouted – in fact, I could phone across the height difference).

The car leaves tomorrow so today will probably involve some shopping and stocking up, though as I can wave to three supermarkets from my windows, that’s probably more about staying out from underfoot while Chris packs.

However I will have to take the car and have it cleaned – parking daily at the side of a major road is not your sparkly friend – so if anyone knows of a carwash that’s not frozen shut, let me know….

Tomorrow on IaDl : Byee!
