It’s a Dog’s Life…

“Dear Mr Dog, from the information we have received, you satisfy the medical standards for safe driving!”

At last!

That been since April last year!

While I am aware that there are some malcontents who will suggest that “safe” and Tony should never be used in the same sentence as “driving”, I am delighted to finally be able to close a door on my time as an enforced pedestrian.

Interestingly , last week, the words (or at least the implication) that a certain undertaking involving scaffolding , might actually be safer with my help, were uttered aloud.

While in fairness, this was, as against assistance from my (unbelievably, soon to no longer be a teenager) son. All parents know (or quickly learn) that assistance from teenagers which requires them to remain stationary and employ both hands, is likely to evaporate as soon as a few seconds of non event have taken place, or at the first electronic beep.

Climb the steps they are holding, and turn to see the dust settling as soon as you need a screwdriver from the floor.

Anyway, no complaint, just for a change, good news to share. Yes I am fully back on the road. I’d stay home if I were you.

Next week on IaDL: What happened to my seven years no claims?
