Well, I waited because I was having a scan for “Retinal myopathy” (sandard check for all new Diabetes diagnoses) yesterday afternoon, and that seemed like the kind of event that would have some upset or mishap to report.
In fact it went smoothly without incident, – I even (bonus result) managed to acquire a pair of replacement *glasses while at the hospital; however the dilating drops in both eyes meant the journey home was a bit blurry, and put a crimp in any effort to write in the immediate aftermath.
I should have written later, but, a/ prior endevours in the garden, picking up and laying stepping stones, left me “disabled”, (and in need of wine).
and b/ I had to sit through a parents “Zoom” meeting for the young people going on the Project Trust volunteering, (after which I needed more wine).
As a brief digression, and excting piece of news, due to circumstance beyond his control, Ben is no longer destined for Cambodia, but is required to go to….. Japan!
This is, of course, easilly his first choice, and while a giant leap forward over Cambodia in parental peace of mind, does raise different hurdles. It is however, his adventure, so he must attack these himself (kind of the whole point).
Otherwise I labour on in the garden at a gradually diminshing pile of timber, and hope eventually to post a photo of it all “gone” – hopefully into useful construction.
Next week; Music? Humour? Philosophy?…
* Not the result of some catastrophic collison, but, a leaky pen “stained” – indelibly! – both the lens and film – that shouldn’t actually be possible.
