It’s a Dog’s life…

(The story so far…)

Steps : 186,886 (target 154,000)

GI: 6.2 (7 day av)

Weight (kg) : 107.2

Money Raised : £105 (Due to a mistake-on my part- a colleague made a generous £25 donation to My diabetes the charity, but not my page, I’m counting this in here).

I’m trying not to cheat on my 7 day average as the time when I do my “stab and measure” for GI clearly has a big impact. My weight is a one time check not averaged.

While I seem ahead on steps, this is a harder shifts week where I expect to struggle. we’ll see.

I’d like to thank all those who’ve already supported with generous donations, showing an unexpected measure of confidence in my tenacity. Although I have already reached my listed (minimal) sponsorship target, I should like to push for a higher figure, while simultaneously trying to achieve a personal “smaller figure” through the same effort.

For those wondering, the picture is the soles of my split new walking shoes, with no steps – the idea being that after 1000000 I would show the “wear”. This seemed like a good concept at the time, however, I have purchased shoes suitable for walking over the grampians and across all manner of rugged terrain, not city streets, and the recent heatwave has required coniderably lighter footwear.

What else is happening? Well there might be some actual music…

Next week on IaDL : probably more steps…..
