It’s a Dogs Life

Well I’ve had seven months of furlough, could have written a book, composed a symphony, learned to read Sandskrit, but no. Mostly redecorated, did some cycling, wondered whether I’d have a job to go back to and wasted too much time online. Now, when I’m going back to work, I decide to start the webpage I was thinking about back in March. Oh well better late than….

I’d like to know how others have fared, furloughed or oherwise. I did do one live feed from my garden, that was a learning experience, but sadly although a follow up was intended the next occassion turned out to be too disorganised (if fun) to even attempt a broadcast, and then the rules changed here in Glasgow(now everywhere) so that even in my largish garden, I can only have one other household. It has occured to me that that should not stop the experiment and that I could have individual musicians over to social distance and play, and I may yet make that attempt, however we’d be hostage to October weather…

For those with a long memory, I do continue my life in the world of mishap and disaster, and I’ll be sharing whenever it seems apt or might get a laugh. More than ever, who can predict what will be round the corner for any of us.

I’m hoping to talk a couple of other usual suspects into some contribution, but any input will be welcome (“Hello hello can you hear me?” a bit like your average Zoom meeting),

Gig dates, live streams, album releases, youtube appearances, old fashioned recordings, hints and tips (Don’t buy a webpage package and just jump in) , maybe you now write poems for commision, or mend drummers as a side line, Lyrics that need a tune, tunes that need a bass line, events that need a Gazebologist.

Next week: Why YOU need a Gazebologist

  1. Nice one my friend.
All power to our collective elbows then.
I’ll see what I can turn up.

    Regards.
