You might recognise them under the old trading name of Bert/Graham/Tony.
I think people have different ideas about the process here….

“Could we have the schedule for early Dec24”
“Number Three, what is the intended music event for this period?”
“Unofficial Jam session”
“Details?”
“Attendance 20-21, West Paisley venue, Clubhouse.”
“Number two, what is our expected Amplification?”
“Medium to apocalyptic, with a slight chance of acoustic”
“I see. Have official invitations sent out to everyone with diplomatic recognition.” Leans forward and slides model guitar on world map, completely obscuring UK.
“The world shall hear from us again.. Mwhahaha!” (cackling laugh fades as all three join in)
Life would be a lot easier with that level of efficiency…

Thunderclap….. In some dark corner, hunched figures with candles and goblets:
“When will we three meet again?”
“In Station Bar or old Swan Inn?”
“in Clubhouse on in Killie garden?”
“Where the volumes over-driven”
“Thrice the brindled bass has mewed!”
“Thrice the pig nose amp has whinned”
“The drummer cries, three-four time, three-four time!”

Somewhere in afront room, drinking tea, three gentlemen of (beyond)a certain age….
“Seems like ages since we played any music…”
“Shall we find a time then?”
“Some Sunday when we’re off”
Long list of Sundays where other commitments have already been made by somebody.
“Why don’t we see if we can get a pub?”
“In December? ….”
“What about “my pub”? “
“Why not…? say aren’t we free on Xth cause the thing got cancelled?”
People check phones and or (paper)diaries. “Eh yes…”
“OK then!” “That’s agreed” “Great, sorted”
“Actually……”
“?”
“Should we maybe check with…our wives?”
The most common question: Will anyone come?
Second most common question: Where will we put everyone?
