Just to prove that; a/ I sometimes actually deliver what I promise, and,
b/ the spirit of Dalmallyfest is alive and well in Kilmarnock

A familiar figure labours to prepare the electrickery. What’s that strange illumination?

At the other end of the garden, food prep.

Early audience bag the good seats…

Hard working musicians discuss the need for a set list…or not.

The crowd grows restless

I think it may have been, “you’re the one that I want…”

Still going strong it’s “Something Else”….

….and their guest drummer….

..who also sings! (The remarkable Sam Richard, I taught him nothing he knows).

Also making a guest appearance….

and the irreplaceable bass players, bass player….

Meanwhile we find another old friend running the food show, and a happy customer.

The audience are entranced by the perfomances….

As the evening draws in, lights and some more informal jamming, (see that key-tar player).

I believe they’re starting Black magic woman.

THe crowd can scarcley believe this…

Bert plays the eleventh solo…..

…and finally, he rests.

Until the acoustic session. (Where, frankly, we own the night!)
There are more shots and I haven’t caught everyone, either on or off stage, but I hope these convey the mood. A great big Thank You to all who came, played, cooked, helped, clapped and drank (some even danced), and those who stayed to clear up the next day.
