I know there have been longish absences before, but I’ve been away from these pages for over a month. There are several reasons.
I actually caught the notification for renewal this time. In financial terms it’s not really a great deal, although it’s come at a time when I’m revising my own budget and expenses.
Is it worth the cost? It’s my privilege to write for you, my audience, but I also write for my own sake. In a way the whole website is a bit of a fail, only “Dog’s LIfe” remains alive. It’s not really about whether I should continue, but whether this is the medium?
I could just write on facebook, or probably a million other options.
There’s another aspect too. I guess life has settled down some, and once you take away my raging at lawyers (would you believe they “forgot” £1000 charge), I’m not sure it’s the same Dog’s LIfe it use to be.
I given the whole thing some consideration, but in the end my choice is made for me. If I discontinue this page now, I lose all my old Dog’s Lifes, and several other articles, and I’d like to hang onto them for posterity, if nothing else. I no longer have the free time to organise a download before I must renew, so, I guess you’ve got me for another year anyway.
