It’s a Dog’s Life…

(well done Ben)

After my self serving complaints last time, you’ll be delighted to know that I’m mobile again, with care. I can not only get in and out of my car (slowly!), I can even – put my socks on! (two cheers!).

I’m not in the same place as my photos, so they will have to wait. However, on a positive note, I (we) attended the graduation ceremony of our son Ben. Proud day indeed.

With time to reflect, I realise, that however uncomfortable my recent malaise, I’m still alive (not dead yet), I have my family and friends, lovely wife, music, and a modicum of security. Plenty to be grateful for.

Of course the blog is – ” a Dog’s Life…” and not, – ” Aren’t we all glad to be alive!” .

Practise nurse on phone from my Doctors, clearly with a big list of people to call;-

” Back Pain? Is it really sore? (no actual pause, or apparent sarcasm), does it hurt anywhere else, leg? or shoulder? (again no actual pause for reply), take paracetmol, gotonhsaryreshirearanmuscularskeletollowerbackdotcodotukanddothe exercises, and collect a prescription for anti-inflamatory cream…bye.”

Luckily, in my finite wisdom, I have already opened the page;

Ayreshire/Arran_Muscular-skeletol/Lower back(exercises).co.uk.

{not the actual web page}.

It takes a further 48 hours for the anti-inflamatory cream to catch up with me – and I can’t use it because the medication is contra indicated by one of my multiple regular prescription pills, as provided by the same doctors.

By that time I don’t really need it anyway -though, annoyingly, it hurts to laugh.

At least I have something to laugh about.
